As I mentioned yesterday, I just went into Hay House (aka the world’s best publishers!) and I walked out with three really brilliant books which I will be sure to read and report back to you about!

The Goddess Revolution. I met the author Mel Wells at the Hay House Christmas party and I can vouch that she is a real Goddess! She was wearing a very skimpy, very gorgeous siren red dress with cutouts and looked OH so comfortable in her skin! As someone who has struggled with my weight (not any more! That was the past!) I was very impressed by the way she came across. Can hardly wait to read the book! More info about it here.

The next one 10 Reasons You Feel Old and Get Fat also resonated with me! For two reasons. 1 because I doing doing my best not to get old and feel fat. I am of Maltese heritage and that is the home of the Goddess. I can tell you that my beautiful mother Moira is no way has got old and fat over the years. If anything she gets better with age. So I want to emulate that! (I do also ask her advice but she is a woman of mystery! At least I know I have good genes!) The number 2 reasons is that I am a huge fan of the author Dr Frank Lipman who makes a lot of sense and writes about a lot of very interesting things! Def looking forward to reading this one. More info here.

The third one I snaffled while Hay House was offering was The Bone Broth Secret written by Louise L. Hay (who put the Hay into Hay House) and Heather Dane. There are a few things to say here.

I hope you are not outraged that I am not vegetarian. I have felt a huge pressure to be vegetarian over the years and have had long stints on a purely plant-based diet. I even have a personal veggo blog here. However it has never really suited me. I have had issues with my blood readings when I have done long veggo stints (not enough iron, even though I thought I was taking the right supplements), among other things.

Even my spiritual teacher Amma Narayani who encourages people to be vegan said the fact that I eat way less meat than I used to is a good thing, as opposed to me being chastised for still eating some meat.

The head of Hay House Australia Leon Nacson pointed out to me that Abraham-Hicks with their endless knowledge of the other side have never sent out a no-meat edict. And PS the co-author of this book, as I said, Louise L. Hay, one of the most spiritual beings around and she is obviously eating meat if she is publishing this book. More info about the book here.

I am not sure where the pressure not to eat meat comes from but I am trying to let it go and to be ok with the fact that I do eat meat a couple of times a week – always organic, free range and ‘happy’ for what it’s worth.

Stonehenge, EnglandWhile I am on this subject, the last veggo stint I had ended about a year ago when I walked into the sacred stone circle at Stonehenge and was hit with a vision of ancient men and women cooking meat on a fire which came with the words “It’s ok to eat meat…” (The last time this happened was when I was one week pregnant but didn’t know it! Go figure…)

Anyway, lately I have been getting strong messages that one way to handle my weight is through bone broth. So when I saw this book at Hay House, I snaffled it with pleasure. More info about it here. Will report back. Please don’t send me harsh and very judgmental emails about meat, if you can help it!!! Thanks!
