Have you tuned into the Full Moon?

We are still very much in the Full Moon phase so it’s anything but too late to tune in!

First let’s talk about the lunar cycle… to put the Full Moon in context. Here is where it comes in the cycle…

1. The New Moon
2. The Crescent Moon
3. The First Quarter Moon
4. The Gibbous Moon
5. The Full Moon
6. The Disseminating Moon
7. The Third Quarter Moon
8. The Balsamic Moon

Now consider the concept of Full Moon forgiveness and gratitude – the idea being that as the Moon swells every month, so do our emotions. The Full Moon is the peak of this cycle and is therefore the ideal time to process our emotions. Forgiving ourselves and others is the best way to do this AND it releases the karma of a situaiton.

The Full Moon Forgiveness Formula – get it here

Note that the Full Moon ceremony dovetails with a New Moon practise –

Yesterday at the workshop I held in London, we did the Full Moon Forgiveness + Gratitude ceremony from my book Moonology:

Full Moon forgiveness ceremony

On the night of the Full Moon, sit quietly for 10 minutes or so and mentally forgive anyone against whom you hold any kind of grudge or resentment. If there’s anyone who’s getting on your nerves or really upsetting you, ask them to forgive you for your bad feelings and send them love. Then do the following:

1. Take some deep, cleansing breaths. Release any stress, worries or cares as you breathe.

2. Now think about a habit, a thought pattern, or an idea or an upset that you want to release. It can be more than one. Write it down on a sheet of paper – write as much as you need to, to ‘express’ it.

3. Next, think of anyone who has upset you. You can go right back to your childhood, to anyone who, seemingly, did you wrong and whom you haven’t yet forgiven. List their name(s) on the same sheet of paper, and also write down what it was they did. Write as much as you need to. You have now created a forgiveness list.

4. Close your eyes and visualize each person in turn. See them inside a pink bubble in your mind’s eye (pink is one of the colours of love). See them smiling at you. Create a good feeling between the two of you. Say silently or out loud: ‘I forgive you.’, and then let them float off in their bubble.

5. Now recite the following Full Moon Forgiveness and Karma Release Formula:

‘Under the glorious Full Moon, I forgive everything, everyone, every experience, every memory of the past or present that needs forgiveness. I forgive positively everyone. I also forgive myself of past mistakes. The Universe is love, and I am forgiven and governed by love alone. Love is now adjusting my life. Realizing this, I abide in peace.’

You may wish to add: ‘I bring love and healing to all my thoughts, beliefs and relationships. I learn my lessons and move on. I call on my soul fragments to be cleansed by the Full Moon and I call on them to rejoin me. I send love to myself and everyone I know, and everyone who knows me, in all directions of time. Under this glorious Full Moon, I am healed. My life is healed. And so it is. So be it.”

6. Stand over a sink, or anywhere else where you’ll not set fire to the house, and burn your forgiveness list. This ritual releases the energies into the ether for transmutation into love.

Burning our forgiveness lists…

The importance of gratitude

In performing the above ceremony, and writing your forgiveness list, you’re releasing resentment, so you need to replace it. Gratitude is the ideal quality to replace resentment. It increases your vibration, so you will be happier; and the higher and clearer your vibration, the better able you will be to manifest in two weeks’ time when the New Moon rolls around.

And yesterday we also talked about why entering a state of gratitude if so important as a follow up to the Full Moon release…

When you’re in a state of gratitude, you can manifest extra well. This is because being in this state closes down your ego, which might otherwise bring in doubts while you’re manifesting. Here’s how to do it:

1. Take a moment to think of at least three people, places, situations or things for which you’re really grateful. Feel gratitude. Really feel it in your body!

2. Write a list of who/what you’re grateful for.

3. Burn your gratitude list after writing it. You just want to let things go at this time of the month.

4. Finally, if it feels right for you, say this incantation: ‘I know that I am blessed and I live my life within that knowing.’
