May is potentially a month of change. There is a major stand-out planetary link promising that hard work can finally pay off in quite exciting ways.
So wherever you have been putting your attention lately, this is the time for you to actively look for signs of profit and reward, so to speak.
It might not come in the form of actual finances, but it could.
It could also be a non-financial reward for kindnesses or services you have done to others, and/or for efforts you have made in other parts of your life, including connected to love, friendship, health, family and anything else.
The reason to start looking for the rewards is because looking for them, expecting something good to come this month, will actually help it to come. It’s the law of attraction. We get what we expect deep down, for better or worse!
So think about where your hard work in any part of your life at all can now pay off. Look for signs that’s happening. Could just as easily be your hard work in the garden as your hard work in an office!
And if you haven’t been making much of any effort with anything lately, it’s time to decide if you want to go on that way or if having a few goals could make life more interesting.
The changes which could happen this month are tied to a rare and positive link between planetary heavyweights Saturn (hard work) and Uranus (exciting turnarounds).
Remember to make a wish on the New Moon on May 26. State your intentions to the Universe (and/or to a trusted friend!)

THERE COULD BE UPSETS…
Know that – for all the signs – the first week of May could be somewhat dramatic thanks to a clash between Saturn and Chiron on May 1.
Saturn is the planet of hard lessons and things we didn’t want to know about. Chiron is aka the Wounded Healer – when Chiron is triggered, pressure points get pushed, boundaries are drawn and people do sometimes get hurt, hopefully just before they get healed.
So if life is tough for you as May is beginning, chances are you a feeling the power of this link. Note that this is a part of the ongoing two plus years Saturn in Sagittarius cycle which ends this December. We all have lessons to learn wherever Saturn is in our chart.

BUT OVERALL, LIFE SHOULD START TO MAKE MORE SENSE
Also this month, we have the end of the current Mercury retrograde cycle which has been going on since early April. It started in the sign of Taurus and has reversed back into the sign of Aries, where it finishes on May 4 (May the 4th be with you!)
As regular readers will know, the start and the end of a Mercury retrograde cycle are the strongest. So there could be some madness around the end of the cycle now. If life is a bit haywire or old issues come up to be dealt with, the most important thing you can do is to keep smiling as you sort your way through things.

MORE HOT MERCURY INFO
Note that there are some ‘hot’ Mercury days after the end of the Mercury retrograde. This info applies to all the signs.
- May 10 – Mercury connects with change-maker Uranus. Something which felt stuck could start to move again
- May 11 – a great day to make a deal ahead of the Mercury/Saturn link in the wee small hours of May 12
- May 15 – if something feels fated today, it probably is
- May 16 – fyi Mercury moves back into Taurus today so whatever you have been waiting for could finally come about soon…

HEALING
As the month progresses, we get into easier territory. May 19 in particular could see a healing following any Chiron-related upsets from the start of the month (see the top of this post for more info about that).
But the biggest astrological event of the month has to be the super power Saturn/Uranus connection on May 19. This is a time when hard work you have been putting into something could suddenly pay off and turn things around for you.
The changes are most likely to come in the part of your chart where Uranus currently is.

LOVE ALERT
Also note that May brings one of the two potentially most loved-up moments we get each year in terms of action between the lots of planet, Jupiter, and the love planet, Venus.
They connect on May 20 very early in the morning, making May 19 the night of nights for love and romance in May, no matter which sign you are.
However also notice that this astro event – more technically known as a Venus/Jupiter opposition – can also ask these questions:
- How much love is too much love?
- Are you loving too much?
- Are you spending too much?
- Are you being over the top when it comes to love or money?
- Are you loving someone or smothering them?
Given that the Venus/Jupiter action is happening hot off the heels of the Venus retrograde, though, hopefully we will get the Venus joy and delights and pleasure rather than the Jupiter excess. (For super Astro fiends: If you have been paying attention to the Venus retrograde cycle, which was all about exes and values and thinking both, note that May 8 is the official end of the end of the cycle.)
