You may or may not know that I am writing a new book called … Moonology!

It’s all about how to make your dreams come true by harnessing the power of the New and Full Moon (or at the very least, using it as a timer…)

In the course of my research, I came across a really cool word I thought I would share with you here:

Sankalpa (Sanskrit: संकल्प) means conception or idea or notion formed in the heart or mind, solemn vow or determination to perform, desire, definite intention, volition or will.

This is the state that we need to get into or the notion we need to embody, the idea with need to inculcate, the concept we need to live when we make our New Moon wishes every month.

It’s not just a question of writing something down and hoping for the best! Rather, it’s all about getting your sankalpa on. Making a pledge to yourself about what you intend for yourself, and knowing that you have the power to change your own life.

It’s about having a definite intention coupled with a deep wish. Quickly writing down your 10 ten New Moon wishes and intentions is better than doing nothing. At least it gets you clear about what you want. But you need to do deeper – we all do!

Next time you decide to write a New Moon wishes and intentions list or you want to manifest something, take a moment to get centered. Lighting a candle and talking to the Universe can really help…

Does what you’re about to ask for tick all these boxes?

Is in in integrity?
Is it aligned with your authentic self?
Does it serve a higher purpose?
Are you willing to take responsibility for manifesting this?

If you can answer yes to all these questions, you are ready to go!
